Journey Behind Purposefillingchange

I’m Louise Sylvester – an introvert who learned how to turn silence into strength and pain into purpose.

From a young age, I faced battles that many never saw. Behind every smile was a girl who pushed through health challenges, hiding her pain with quiet determination. I poured everything into performance and achievement – not to prove my worth, but to remind myself that no obstacle could stop me from becoming who I was meant to be.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a doctor – to heal, to help, and to bring comfort to others. But God had a different plan. My path unfolded not in medicine, but in understanding the mind and the heart. After being told I couldn’t pursue my beloved sciences because of one subject -Maths, I felt like my dream had been stolen. But destiny has a way of rerouting us to where we truly belong.

When I walked into my first Psychology class, something shifted. It was as if everything I’d been through finally made sense. I found light in a new kind of healing – not through medicine, but through empathy, words, and understanding. That moment became the foundation for my journey to becoming a qualified Psychotherapist – a career built not just on knowledge, but on compassion, experience, and faith.
Outside the classroom, I found myself in ministry – teaching Sunday School from the age of twelve, singing, dancing, and performing with expression that spoke louder than words ever could. Even as a shy girl, I used movement and creativity to express what others couldn’t see behind my quietness.

But perhaps the greatest teacher of all has been love -and heartbreak. My first love became the mirror that reflected my deepest lessons: self-worth, boundaries, and rediscovering who I am beyond pain. Those experiences shaped not just my words, but the heart behind Purposefillingchange.

This platform was born from that place – a space for healing, reflection, and empowerment. Through every quote, every story, and every truth I share, I hope you find something that reminds you of your own strength.

Because your story – like mine – isn’t defined by what broke you, but by how you rise from it.
